saddles
Saddles is a collaborative effort between SAL and the Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol Unit, which culminates with a riding experience at Rosaire's Riding Academy in Sarasota, and/or Bit of Hope Ranch in Englewood.
sal activities
SAL programs operate after school in various locations throughout Sarasota County. The 8 students selected at each location are offered a unique opportunity to spend time with deputies from the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office while enjoying a variety of activities...and having fun!
sal fishing
On Saturday, May 20, we hosted our 22st Annual Fishing Tournament benefiting the Sheriff's Activities League. A HUGE thank you to event organizer Dep. Mike Watson, the first responders (both active and retired), donors, sponsors and community members who made this event possible! Because of each of you, we were able to take dozens of Sarasota County kids out on the water for an experience they will never forget.
SCSO EXPLORERS
Members of the SCSO Explorers program recently participated in the Florida Sheriff's Explorers Association (FSEA) State Conference, hosted by the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office. Several Explorers earned awards in the Rimfire Pistol category, and Amanda Sauceda earned the Top Shot of the Year award! 📷📷 The Active Shooter team took home the 2nd place trophy. Please join us in congratulating our Explorers on a job well done!
